Peer Review Process

Peer Review Policy for the e-Review of Tourism Research

All submissions to eRTR will undergo peer review. The objective of the peer review process is two fold. First, the process ensures that all submissions accepted for publication are of a high scholarly standard. Second, the review process provides critical, supportive and constructive feedback to authors.

  3. The paper will be ‘desk rejected’ by the editors, with comments provided to help improve the article for future submission or submission to other journals.

Type of Peer Review

eRTR employs a double blind review, where the reviewer and author remain anonymous throughout the review process.  Authors should submit a separate title page, and must not include any identifying information in the manuscript itself.  All manuscripts will be reviewed by at least 2 reviewers.

Reviewer Selection

Reviewers will be selected based on expertise and experience.  We acknowledge the contributions of reviewers through appointment to the eRTR Editorial Review Board.
